La presente investigación aborda la educación sexual en niños y niñas de 3 años en la Institución Educativa Inicial "San Francisco de Asís" de Huanta, 2025, con el objetivo de conocer el nivel de desarrollo de la educación sexual formativa en la población estudiada. El estudio corresponde a una investigación básica de nivel descriptivo, con diseño descriptivo simple, La población estuvo conformado por 56 niños y niñas de 3 años y la muestra se conformó por 26 niños y niñas. Para la recolección de datos se empleó la técnica de observación mediante una ficha de observación validada por juicio de expertos (validez: 0.863) y con confiabilidad aceptable (Alfa de Cronbach: 0.728). Los resultados indicaron que el 92.3% de los estudiantes se ubica en un nivel medio en educación sexual, indicando un desarrollo incipiente y no constante; respecto al conocimiento del cuerpo, el 76.9% se ubica en el nivel medio, reflejando reconocimientos parciales de su corporalidad; en autoprotección y cuidado personal, el 96.2% manifiesta conductas ocasionales sin consolidación de prácticas habituales; y en relaciones interpersonales, el 96.2% practica habilidades sociales de manera no constante. Se concluye que la educación sexual en los estudiantes evaluados se encuentra en proceso de construcción, con predominio de logros parciales más que constantes, evidenciando la necesidad urgente de implementar estrategias pedagógicas sistemáticas, contextualizadas y apropiadas a la edad que fortalezcan el conocimiento corporal, la autoprotección y las relaciones saludables desde la primera infancia, garantizando así una formación integral que favorezca su seguridad, autoestima y desarrollo socioemocional.
This research examines sex education among three-year-old children at the Early Childhood Education Institution “San Francisco de Asís” in Huanta, 2025, with the aim of determining the level of development of formative sex education in the studied population. The study follows a basic descriptive research design with a simple descriptive approach. The population consisted of 56 three-year-old children, from which a sample of 26 children was drawn. Data collection relied on an observation technique using an observation checklist validated through expert judgment (validity: 0.863) and with acceptable reliability (Cronbach’s Alpha: 0.728). The findings revealed that 92.3% of the students scored at an intermediate level in sex education, reflecting an incipient and inconsistent development; regarding body awareness, 76.9% were placed at the intermediate level, showing only partial recognition of their own bodies; in self-protection and personal care, 96.2% displayed occasional behaviors without establishing consistent habits; and in interpersonal relationships, 96.2% practiced social skills on an irregular basis. It is concluded that sex education among the evaluated students remains under construction, with partial rather than consolidated achievements predominating. This highlights the urgent need to implement systematic, contextualized, and developmentally appropriate pedagogical strategies that strengthen body awareness, self-protection, and healthy relationships from early childhood onward, thus ensuring a comprehensive education that promotes children’s safety, self-esteem, and socioemotional development.
