The general objective of this study was to determine the influence of plyometrics on the long jump performance of fifth-grade students in section A at the "María Auxiliadora" Educational Institution in Huanta during 2024. The research was applied, experimental, and employed a pre-experimental design with pre- and post-tests in a single group. The population consisted of 82 students from sections A, B, and C, and a census sample of 23 students from section A was selected for the experiment. Data was collected using an evaluation test and a long jump test (observation sheet), which achieved a content validity of 88.3% and a Cronbach's alpha reliability of 0.909. The main findings, summarized in five contrast tables, demonstrate a substantial improvement: in overall long jump performance, levels rose from initial (47.8%) and developing (52.2%) to expected (47.8%) and outstanding (52.2%) achievement levels; in the approach run, 73.9% reached the good level; in the take-off, 78.3% reached the good level; in the flight phase, 91.3% reached the good level; and in the landing phase, 91.3% achieved the good level after the intervention. Regarding the inferential results, the Wilcoxon signed-rank test yielded a p-value of 0.000 (less than 0.05), allowing the rejection of the null hypothesis and confirming the significant influence of the independent variable. The study concludes that plyometrics significantly improves explosive power and technique in all its phases, enabling all students to overcome initial technical deficiencies and reach optimal levels of athletic performance.
